Construction on this historic structure built in the early 1900's involved selective demolition of an outdated 1950's addition. When completed a 22,000 square foot expansion and complete reconstruction and restoration of an additional 10,000 square feet was required. The renovation included a full service kitchen, grille room, formal dining areas, locker areas and pro shop. Major emphasis was spent on millwork details and interior finishes. Importance was placed on designing a contemporary facility to blend with the historic character of the former clubhouse, and this design was completed by Amsler Woodhouse and MacLean Architects of Boston.
